Bhaya Cruises Launches “Clean The Bay 2026” Environmental Initiative in Ha Long Bay
Bhaya Cruises is set to return with its annual environmental initiative, “Clean The Bay 2026 – Green Promise for the Bay We Love”, taking place on 28 May 2026 in Ha Long Bay. The initiative reflects Bhaya Cruises’ continued commitment to sustainability, responsible tourism and the preservation of one of Vietnam’s most iconic natural heritage sites.
More than a cleanup campaign, Clean The Bay has become a signature sustainability initiative of Bhaya Cruises since its launch in 2017, bringing together businesses, NGOs, students and members of the tourism and travel community in a collective effort to protect the bay’s ecosystem. In 2025 alone, nearly 100 volunteers participated in cleaning over two kilometres of shoreline, collecting significant amounts of plastic waste, single-use bottles, styrofoam and non-recyclable materials from the bay.
This year’s program will see participants board Bhaya Cruises’ flagship vessel, The Au Co Cruise, for a full-day environmental activity across Ha Long Bay. Activities will include waste collection, waste classification training, shoreline cleanup, impact reporting and environmental awareness sessions.
