AusCham Vietnam Joins CPA Australia in Celebrating 140 Years of Professional Excellence

AusCham Vietnam was delighted to join CPA Australia in Hanoi to celebrate the organisation’s remarkable 140-year milestone, marking more than a century of advancing professional excellence, integrity and leadership within the global accounting and finance community.

Representing AusCham Vietnam at the event were Mr. Edwin H. Law, Executive Director, and Ms. Natalie Fairlie, Vice President, alongside distinguished guests, members and partners from across the Australian and Vietnamese business communities.

The celebration welcomed senior representatives including Ms. Renee Deschamps, Minister & Deputy Head of Mission at the Australian Embassy in Vietnam; Dr. Nguyen Viet Long FCPA (Aust.), Partner, Consulting at EY Vietnam; and Ms. Bernadette Thompson, First Secretary, Economic, Australian Embassy in Vietnam.

Highlights of the afternoon included keynote insights from Dr. Nguyen Viet Long and Ms. Renee Deschamps, followed by a panel discussion titled “Redefining Value in a Changing World”. The discussion explored how ESG priorities, sustainability considerations and broader global developments are reshaping the future of the finance profession and influencing how organisations define long-term value creation.

For AusCham Vietnam, the event also highlighted the important role professional associations and industry bodies continue to play in strengthening cross-border business connectivity, advancing professional standards, supporting leadership development and fostering collaboration across sectors and markets.

The networking reception that followed created a valuable platform for members, partners and business leaders to reconnect, exchange ideas and celebrate this important milestone together.

AusCham Vietnam congratulates CPA Australia on 140 years of contribution to the profession and looks forward to continued collaboration in supporting the Australia–Vietnam business and professional community.
