[VBF Banking WG] - Calling for input for meeting with SBV

Dear AusCham Members,

We are pleased to inform you that State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) would like to have a meeting/discussion with the Vietnam Business Forum (VBF-Banking Working Group) to understand the business’s concerns, and find ways to solve problems & difficulties for businesses, as well as further coordinate with other ministries (if necessary). The meeting is tentatively prior the VBF Forum date in March 2024.

Banking Working Group, under the VBF, has proven itself one of the most active working groups in presenting its members’ most pressing issues on doing business in Vietnam. Over the recent years, the Banking Working Group has played a key role in supporting the SBV to improve the legal and regulatory framework for the banking and financial sector in Vietnam as well as its commercial effectiveness in developing the economy. The Group has successfully initiated and implemented a series of effective dialogues and engagements with the SBV.

As members of AusCham, who are an esteemed Associate Member of VBF, we encourage you to share any burning issues or concerns to include in the VBF position paper/speech. The comments should include, but not limited to, relevant articles, issues/difficulties, arguments and recommendations. Click HERE for the list of issues that BWG has been working with SBV for your reference.

Please kindly send comments and suggestions to the AusCham Advocacy Officer at advocacy@auschamvn.org by COB Thursday, 25 February 2024. AusCham will represent your interests and ensure that your voice is heard by the appropriate individuals.

Thank you for your attention and active participation.
