Consular Club Annual Art Auction
12 MARCH 2010
5:30pm – 8:30pm
SHERWOOD RESIDENCE
127 PASTEUR STREET, DISTRICT 3, HCMC
You can help improve lives across Vietnam…and decorate your home.
The Consular Club Charity Art Auction is buying art with a difference: it is buying art to make a difference.
The Charity Art Auction showcases paintings, decorative art and photographs from local Vietnamese and expatriate artists, professionals and amateurs, who all share a commitment to support communities across Viet Nam.
All proceeds will go to our projects. Our team of volunteers ensures that no money is lost in administrative costs.
Come enjoy a lively evening, with a live auction conducted by local Consuls General, and a concurrent silent auction, where you can bid on beautiful photos and other artworks. You may discover a hidden treasure!
One of the highlights this year is an antique Kimono, a so-called Uchikake, a kimono worn by the bride on her wedding day.
In 2009, the Charity Art Auction sold 97 artworks, including paintings by well-known local artists such as Do Hoang Tuong, Tran Van Thao, Nguyen Than, Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, as well as many other professional and amateur artists, and contributed to the over VND 1 billion raised by the Consular Club for the year. These funds have already benefitted 20 projects.
With this year’s event we aim to extend our reach, and deepen our impact to improve the lives of disadvantaged people in Viet Nam. We hope you’ll join us!
